My devices are all signed in using my recorded pw, but my visitor can't sign onto my wifi using the same pw.


Does Verizon Self Install ever answer the phone? On Hold 1:45 and counting

Converted from copper to Fios almost a month ago, MyVerizon still shows old account number

On October 7 I had Fios installed to replace my old copper phone/DSL service.  I recieved an email saying I had a new account number, but everywhere on MyVerizon (except for my profile page, oddly) it still shows the old account number.

 

This seems to affect my billing as well, as it still showed I was enrolled in AutoPay as I had been, but then it never charged me on my normal date (despite saying that my bill was paid in full and I owed $0.00). 

 

After this I received an email with a new bill which showed a past due amount (which I assume was for my last bill under the copper service) along with a new amount (my first Fios bill?).

 

But I cannot check the details of this new bill on my account.  It shows an entry for it in my billing history, but when I click it to check the details it just says it cannot get that information right now.

 

I did manage to pay the last copper bill on October 29 by manually entering the amount.  My credit card was charged successfully, but this payment doesn't show in my payment history, so how do I really know I was credited for it?

 

It seems as if all the data I see is somehow related or tied to my old account number.  I just want to make sure I can pay my bills online and not be "past due" which I never have been until just now.

 

I have done two long online chats and one phone call with customer service and I seem to be unable to explain my problem successfully to get this resolved or to get a reasonable explanation of the situation, so I thought I would post here for help.

On the home network trying to stream shows recorded on my DVR to watch on my Android.  Wont let me because it thinks I am out of network or using a proxy; both are not the case.  I'd watched shows using the FiOS app before. Why is it not working now?

 

I tried to trouble shoot in the app itself and it tells me my device is not provisioned.  Told me to connect my device to the router and restart the app.  How do I connect my Android to the router? Isn't being on the WiFi already connected to the router?  What does device not provisioned mean?

 

I created a ticket with app support, any comments here appreciated.

I canceled my Verizon FiOS account months ago. I've been trying to get a in touch with the right person to actual do something about the bill I received. Fios does not provide service in the area I recently moved to. I was told I should not have received a bill since the service isn’t provided within the area. After going on month with dealing with this I will no longer put up with it. Verizon, is telling me my account holder is ICU. ICU tells me there is not an account in my name. After dealing with rude customer service people and them hanging the phone up while I’m speaking and they don’t understand the problem, I will no longer use Verizon, or suggest anyone to use them. The inconvenience of this company is ridiculous. 

NetGear Orbi with FIOS g1100?

So I had a verizon technician come over and say that I have to use the FIOS router for both my TV and Internet, and if I want to extend my range I can use Netgear Orbi. I was thinking of getting mesh systems for a while, and now I want to get it. I didn't fully understand the technician's explanation, but as I understand he says that I still NEED the G1100 for TV and internet, and I can use orbi to extend the wifi to the upstairs. So can I use the orbi router by connecting it via ethernet to my G1100 and putting the satellites upstairs and basement?

I am posting to this forum because I am deeply disatisfied with the customer service I have received with Verizon Fios. I would like to be contacted to resolve an ongoing issue with an erroneous Unreturned Equipment Charge for my account. The fact that I am even having to post to this forum regarding this issue truly underscores the serious problems Verizon Fios has with adequate customer service. I look forward to talking with someone shortly regarding this matter.

Hey guys I have a question I just got a new g1100 from Verizon installed today but the wan light is off is that normal I have fios gigabit connection all help would be appreciated 

Never received a G1100, can I still use my own router?

The technicians set up the ONT and then left.

I have my own router but cannot get wifi.

 

How can I install using my own router, without being able to use the G1100 to release the DCHP lease.

Any idea how to actually get verizon to care about there customers? I have called numerous times to get a cable buried, every time it's the same story, "your problem will be fixed in 24-48 hours" and no one ever comes.

last time I finally asked the customer service rep for the local team number so I can call them to schedule the cable burying myself, they refused to give me the info, They said they contract that out and additionally refused to give me the name of the contractor that they use. 
After I asked to speak to a supervisor he also refused. A total waste of time to put in customer service complaints with there call centers. They are absolutely no help. 

Worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Waiting 3+ months for burying temporary line

We have now waited 3+ months to have a temporary line buried. Winter months are close and the ground will soon freeze...so despite contacting Verizon almost weekly and having "a new ticket" created there has been zero progress. The agent seems to have no control over the contractors and will not give us their information. I have seen other similar issues and would like advice on how to proceed. Our neighbors have had similar issues (Verizon contractors cut both our lines and our sprinkler systems during the summer by accident). Thank you.

I'm in Los Angeles. I have a 200 Mbps FIOS internet service. When I tested it using the test from speedtest.net, which connects to a Montery Park CA server as the nearest server, I see that my download speeds are 180, 190 Mpbs.. which is close to 200 so that's fine.

 

I also have a dedicated IP address in the UK.  Connecting to that I get really lousy speeds. speedtest.net when connected to a London server shows speeds of 1, 3, 5 Mbps - that's a pretty dramatic slow down in my view and I want to improve on that. 

 

Looking at the traceroute output shows why. When connected to my dedicated IP in the UK, my total Traceroute time is 1271 ms. Connected to the local Monterey Park server its only 300 ms !

I dont want to go ahead with Quantum gateway and also would not like to shell out more money on router. I would like to know which routers are best and affordable for 200/200 speed. I already have ONT installed at my place ( I recently moved to this address and can see ONT installed at this location). any help would be much appreciated. I already own TP-LINK AC1200 ( Non Gigabit router with 2 Frequency Bands 5GHz and 2.4 GHz).
