Hi,
I have a new Verizon service with the G1100 router. Before that I had Comcast service, and before that a Verizon serivice with an older type of router.
Through all that time, I have an HP LaserJet 4350n network printer, that I always connect to the router (via LAN cable), and this is how all the computers in the house print to the same printer.
However, no matter what I tried to do - the G1100 router refuses to recognize/find the printer. I tried with auto IP, I tried to put a fix IP on the printer (192.168.1.100) and direct it to the domain name (the router's IP is 192.168.1.1) - NOTHING works. The network just refuses to recognize that there's a printer connected, no matter what I do.
Did anyone experience the same thing? Any suggestions on how to solve it?
That printer is critical to my work. I'm so frustrated from this, having already spent hours on that issue, that I regret leaving Comcast and moving to FIOS... I need the printer to work, and spend time I don't have on solving unnecessary technical issues... :-(
