Overcharged, and credit disappeared

On the recent bill, I was not given the autopay discount of $10, even though I was enrolled.

 

I talked to a customer service agent, she admitted the issue, gave me $10 in credit, and assured someone is going to look into it. On the bill due date, I checked to make sure that the credit is in place.

 

But today when I check my bill, suddenly the credit is gone. Nobody has ever contacted me since. And worse still, the due date is long past (08/24). I'm not sure if I'm oweing Verizon money. I'm not sure if "removing credit from a past bill so customer will owe money" is even legal.

 

This is totally absurd. And it's not the first time this happened.
