Fios is available to all my neighbors on the street, on our side and opposite.

We just bought the house last month and called Verizon to get the service but our address says no fios service available. But I have check all my next door neighbors on our side of the street and the opposite and all have Fios. What is the reason we do not have FIOS? Can anybody suggest whom should I contact to resolve this issue? Thanks
