Lag and Intermittent Connectivity

I am experiencing high lag and intermittent connectivity with my Verizon FIOS internet. See picture below of a ping test which shows an average of 80ms ping and a "Request Timed Out" line which shows no ping at all.

This issue has been going on for 48 hours.

 

I contacted your customer support via phone, which was awful. I got a lady with a thick accent which I could barely understand. She conducted several "tests" which she did not elaborate on. She asked me to do the following troubleshooting:

(1) Unplug/replug router.

(2) Reset router using button in back of router.

(3) Unplug/replug the white Verizon box that leads to the outside of my house (it has two green/blue buttons and a Battery pack on it). 

 

After I unplugged the white box, my phone line disconnected b/c I also have Verizon phone service. The service rep never called me back even though she said she would and confirmed my cell phone number.

 

None of this troubleshooting resolved the issue.

 

I am using a wired Ethernet connection directly into my router. Please advise.
