Verizon FIOS is either not honest or not responsive - please give me my money back

I have cancelled both Verizon FIOS and Select TV package because they customer service never knows what they are talking about. After my cancellation, they posted a $9.44 credit on my account because I paid my bill prior to cancelling. The person that cancelled my services said that they will send me a check for that amount. I have yet to see a check or any sort of email stating that I will get that money back. All i can see is the credit that was posted. Can I please have my $9.44 back? Send me a check please, thank you.
