I have two new laptops in the house, an HP (Pavilion?) and a Dell Latitude. When I try to connect either of these to my Verizon router (ActionTec MI424WR I) the router crashes and even my wired connections can no longer get to the Internet. I have to reboot the router and shut the new laptops off to restore internet service.
I know for a fact that the Dell is using an 802.11 ac wireless card and the ActionTec is only 802.11 b/g/n compliant. Is this causing a problem? I can't (yet) figure out which wireless card is in the HP or what its protocol is.
Anyone have a similar problem or know how to fix it?
