I've been ignored and mistreated for a year over "unreturned" equipment. My credit is ruined.

First, I did return my equipment. I returned two DVR boxes, one standard cable box, one internet router, and two remotes. I had lost one remote, but was told it wasn't a concern and would not constitute any penalty charges.

My service was disabled around Feb 20th, 2018 and I returned the equipment around that same date.

Everything was square until 4-6 months later when I check my credit score, and see that my excellent credit is now "fair." I have a hit against me for nearly $800 from Verizon. Upon getting in contact with an agent, I'm told I did not return my equipment. After spending over an hour with this agent, I'm told it was a system error, that it displays that the equipment was returned and service disabled on 04/25/18, that I am owed roughly $200 from overpaying a final bill, and that a check would be in the mail to settle my account.

Two months later, no check, no improvement on my credit. This begins a long back and forth struggle of agents telling me they don't have the clearance to help me, and that I owe Verizon $800 in delinquency payments over unreturned equipment.

Most recently, I've been told twice that someone higher-up in customer service will be in contact with me via phone or e-mail, and I have yet to receieve contact.

So a year later with ruined credit, unable to buy a house or start a family, or even get married as my bad credit would become his bad credit, I am unable to live because of radio silence from verizon and a refusal to pay money I don't have for equipment I already returned.

All of my information is updated and correct on my account. I expect someone to get in contact with me over the next few business days.

Thank you.
