Don't really know where else to post this, thanks for reading.
On Sunday of this week (5/1), my wireless internet almost completely stopped working. If it DID work, it was sporadic and only temporary, as it would not work for long. And it stopped working for EVERYTHING (Phone, Laptop, Netflix, etc). Router worked fine for about a year, and now it doesn't.
Talked to a service rep, they sent me a new router. Great!
...Until it had the exact same issue. Brand new router, same exact issue. All my devices say they are connected to the internet, but there is no flow of information. Can't load a website, cant really do anything. I tried a lot of things.
The issue is not:
Damaged wires
Distance to the router
Router Location
Things I have tried:
Rebooting the router
Restoring router to factory settings
Using a brand new router
Wired internet works fine, anything with an ethernet cable. It is just the wireless that is the issue. The only thing I can think of (and I am far from an expert on this stuff) is that I got 2 bad routers in a row, or there was some sort of setting change that I didn't know about. I could be wrong. Or I am sitting on a pile of uranium and that is messing with the signal.
Any ideas?
