ActionTec Router resetting DHCP Range?

Hello,

posting a question to see if anyone has run into this before and if so how they have dealt with it.  I have enabled the DHCP function of the ActionTec router to the extent that I have allocated my internal network to 172.16.1.0/24 block.    Note: this was configured and working perfectly for the last several years.

What I have noticed is over the last few months the ActionTec router renumbers the DHCP block back to a 192.168.x.x range and what subsequently happens is all my home handhelds, tablets and computers are now obtaining IPs from the 192.168x.x block which essentially disconnects users to the internet.   To fix, I had to go into the GUI to reset the DHCP range back to my preferred settings.

I'd like to know if anyone has run into this before and how they dealt with this .. either by working with Verizon to upgrade firmware, or is there someone coming in from Verizon and changing via an automation, etc.

Any input / feedback is greatly appreciated...
