Wifi Connected, No Internet....

I'm using the new gateway Verizon router, 75/75Mbps service.  I've had all devices (TV, phones, PCs, tablets, and laptops) all connected to the router at one time or another.  Recently, random devices have had issues with Internet connectivity.  The device connects to the Wifi network, but has no Internet connection.  I've re-booted the router countless times, disconnected/turned off several devices, all to no avail for those devices that won't get Internet connection even though they're connected to the network.  Help!

Fios Home Router g3100 coax question.

Hello,

 

So I got the g3100 yesterday and I'am just curious on which coax cable I should use. One is the TFC-T10 CATV and the other is PPC Perfect  Flex 6 Series 18 AWG CATVX. Both came with the Fios g3100 router. I'am not sure what the difference between the two are and which one I should connect to the back of the router.

 

internet connection gets disconnected too often.

Hellish experience!  

have been with fios for a month from comcast. 

very poor internet connection. 

called and chatted with customer rep more than three times in one month. 

internet gets disconnected at least once or twice as i watch a 30 min. youtube.  

 

anybody can help this worthless experience?????  

Fios Installation Question

Hello, I just ordered Fios 200mbps online because my other provider been having issues constantly, but the earliest Fios installation date is Jan 6, 2020 which is too far out, I work from home so internet is crucial to me. So I'm thinking of doing a self installation with my current router which is a D-Link DIR-836L. I've contacted the customer service rep and they told me I can do a self install since my building is already routed for fios, all I had to do was locate the ONT box, which is right outside my building. In the ONT box I can see a coaxial and ethernet port, the ethernet port is not in use. Can I simply connect my router via ethernet port to the ONT ethernet port and call Verizon to activate my service? or should I go to the Verizon store and pick up a self installation kit?

I just got Fios Hooked up no less then 24hrs ago and i got an email noticed that my bill has changed. I noticed a WiFi Extended was added. I asked the tech to put the router in the house. And i was told OK. I was thinking it would be done. But nope. I don't need a WiFi-Extender if the router was put where i told it was going to be. The WI-Fi Exteneder is an extra $10 in rent fees.

 

So in short terms i need the router moved from the Garage in to the house. I don't know about everyone else. But who has a router in the garage.

 

I didn't think i would have to watch over a grown man as they work to make sure that the router was put into the house.

Fios connection drops

My Fios connection got dropped sporadically recently, many times a day. At first I thought it's router issue, then I connected a computer through ethernet cable directly, still same thing. I called Verizon; they reset everything in the router remotely, nothing actually changed. After the call in the noon, the internet got disconnected 5 times already today.   It did get reconnected automatically everytime, but it's very disruptive if you are in the middle of something.

 

Not sure this is area issue. This is Wayland, MA.

If there was a way to put less than one star I will put -10.

I made the tremendous error to switch to verizon fios. According to them faster speeds and better costumer service.
WHAT A JOKE
I called costumer service and tech support 4 times each of the calls lasted at least 2 hours each. I tried to get an additional box for my spare bedroom. According to them I needed to use a WIFI cable box. since my router is on the first floor and the bedroom is on the second floor I was concern that the WIFI signal was not sufficient, I was instructed that to assure that I needed to upgrade my router. With a cost ( I did) and that the tech will not need to come to install the hard wire cable. After installing professionally my tv the techs were unable to make the cable box to work. I called verizon and they schedule my appointment for a tech to come by. The tech came spend 4 hours and did nothing, his argument was that it was the construction of the home (brand new btw). Next, i want to upgrade my router and to put their router in bridge mode. I called before to assure this was possible which leticia told me yes. they could give me instructions over the phone.
The I talked with humberto he said that what leticia told me was incorrect and that type of service can't be done over the phone that I need to pay for the service or to schedule an appointment so the service tech can come. Humberto connected me with Mikee to schedule an appointment and to now switch the new box to an old one since that can be put in bridge mode. She told me that the visit will charge me 150 which I refuse to pay since I was instructed that they can do this. Then I was connected to her manager, he said politely that I was going to be taken care of with no problems. He put me on hold and after 2 hours of putting me on hold the response I get call another time since there are not representatives that can take my call.
Not only the service was a joke, the tech support was inept the tech was unable to fix the problem and in top of that I am charged for a box that I am unable to use.
If I knew that this was going to happen NEVER in a million years will have switch to this HORRIBLE service.

Hello 

I want to use my LUXUL router and I have a newest router from Fios.  I want to put this Fios router in bridge mode can somebody help me.  
I called 2x for 2 hours each time and I got you need to downgrade the router first time.  Second time.  Sorry but we don't have the gateway router anymore.  So can somebody help me

My G1100 router had fw 02.02.00.16 pushed to it on 12/15/2019, since then none of my devices can connect to the 2.4G network. Already tried rebooting router, disabling/enabling 2.4GHz radio, removing AP settings from devices and establishing new connections, nothing works. Sometimes the 2.4G netwrok doesn't show up in a network scan, other times "authentication failure" is the error message...

 

Anyone else had/having similar issues post upgrade?

Why do Verizon over the phone support people offer deals that are worse than the deals available on the web-site.

This lack of consistency/transperancy is very upsetting to me as existing Verizon Customer.

I noticed this when i was trying to set up my initial account (ended up doing everything through Verizon web-site)... and just today when i wanted to downgrade my service i was met with a rather poor attempt to hoodwinkle me into an offer which definitely does not have the best value.

Online experience is also not optimal cheaper options such as 75mbs internet are hidden and over the phone personal claims it's not available and 100mbs is the cheapest option.

It seems that over the phone sales team works on commission? Why would you do it for existing customers.

After 3-days of my time, 8-hours of continuous phone support, and nine different service reps, my internet service is still being restricted through no error of my own. I've been promised the issue would be taken care of, I've been hung up on, sent back and forth to various departments, and still, the internet is restricted. This is the worst customer service! I've relayed that my wife needs to communicate with her physician over the internet, and it is a medical necessity that the service is corrected. This started with a phone call to renew my expired triple play. I will certainly be rethinking where my future business will be placed!

I just recently moved and called Verizon in November to have my service moved to my new apartment.  The customer service rep was very nice.  I explained that my life is my job, and I work at home alot because of a handicap.  So without the internet I have no paycheck.  Although I was very disappointed that they could not get me service until the 21st, I made special arrangements to be able to wait until that day.  I got a call last evening to say that they had to move my appointment almost a week, to the 26th.  Basically one day's notice.  Then I get an e-mail "Thank you for changing your appointment to a time more convenient for you"  "REALLY????"

No negotiating at all, I was told "that's just the way it is"  Is Verizon going to take that for an answer when I don't get paid because of them?  Are they going to pay me my lost wages?  This not right in any way, shape or form. 

Is electricity needed for installation?

Does the property need electricity for installation? My new home is having the electric panel replaced. The tech might not have electricity for the installation. Is that a problem?

 

I called support and they couldn’t tell me but noted it on my account. 


New FIOS G3100 and now cannot connect to my Speco security cameras DVR remotely

After renewing my FIOS contract for another 2 years (love FIOS!) I was provided a new router, the G3100. All is fine so far EXCEPT, I can no longer view my security cameras remotely. I've now worked on this for a couple of days, including an hour on the phone with Verizon tech support. I have all of the network information from the DVR and I know how to get to the router set up. I hope someone out there can assist. I feel like I'm very close to getting this fixed and must be missing one or two settings. Thanks in advance for any assistance !!

Worst Customer Service Ever!!!

I was trying to get NFL to stream on my roku tv. I have the channel in my lineup already. My son was sick and wanted to watch the game in bed. When I tried connecting to the NFL channel, the web link took me to the "Shop Now" link.

 

I connected with the Chat pop up, was asked to wait, and was finally connected to a rep who after 15 minutes of me waiting for her response told me that she cant help and I need to call technical line.

 

I have now been on the phone for over 1 hour and 20 minutes and still no response. The game is almost over and I can't seem to get in touch with a rep anyway. This type of customer service baffles me.

I just got a new Fios modem/router but the wifi connection is weak in the Living room.

It was suggested by Fios that I get a connector between the TV and Coax in the LR.

So I got an Actiontec Moca 2.0 6000.

Can I use only 1 adapter for this at the LR end or does the Fios Router need a 2nd one at the router end as well?  Also once connected, can I also connect a Wifi extender directly to the adapter by splitting the Ethernet between it and the TV.

So will any of this solve my issue?

 

 

Enable upnp on new G3100 Verizon Home Router

Is the upnp already on by default in the G3100 router settings? We have multiple gamers in the house who play on different systems at the same time. One son is going to be playing a new VR gaming system and needs to have the upnp on. Verizon customer service doesn't know what I'm talking about and referred me to Expert care which says they can't get back to me for an hour. Ridiculous customer serve for such $$
