I have a BBU which is connected to a router in my apartment which was leftover from the previous tenant. I assumed that the router it is attached to doesn't work because when I moved in I had no internet connection. But I left it in place because when I shut it off the internet I set up stopped working.
I have two other routers in my aparment that I had set up when I moved in and they are not connected to the BBU/Router. I do not have a landline. The battery to the BBU is dying so I figured disconnecting the BBU would be fine. My internet connection stops working, but on all my devices it shows that I have full wifi connection. I've read that the BBU is only needed for a landline. Is there something I a missing?
