I am not disappointed at the speed of the internet, but truly unsatisfied with the sales person I met.
So, I moved into my current condo last year October. As new to the area, my leasing office told me this person called Marcia from verizon fios, could help me with my internet. At the same time, I am considering Optimum as well. Marcia was in good manner and suggested me a product, which I said OK. At first, she said, it was OK to do self install, but then said no, I need a installation from verizon, which will charge me $80 extra. And, she promised me will drop a gift card for me to compensate part of the fee that month when I move in.
Then, things became not good. I moved in and told her that she can drop the gift card any time and I will pick up from my leasing office. She said OK and will drop off. The leasing office told me she will usually drop in to office every other week.
However, she NEVER gave me the giftcard. NEVER!
I called her every two weeks to ask when she will be in. She said, oh, next week, next Tuesday, next Thursday, etc. It happened about many times that she promised she will drop in but every time I went to leasing office, nothing. She has been to the leasing office, always did, but never got me the gift card she promised.
The worst part is that she told me that I have to go the day she said to get the gift card so no one else would get it. I said, OK. And, every time I went to my leasing office, NOTHING.
So, what is this? A jock?
Today, when I call verizon to cancel the service as I need to move and talked this issue. The customer service told me, we neve got any promotion and it will be no gift card. So, what happened to your sales person??? The customer service person basically said, we can not do anything and that's what it is.
I WILL NEVER USE VERIZON AND WILL NOT RECOMMAND TO ANY OF MY FRIEND.
