Bill Increase Bait-and-Switch

Recently reupped my Fios Triple Play contract. Surprisingly, got a good/fair renewal rate that was equal to or less than what I was paying. Now, about 6 mos in, I just received a letter from Verizon in the mail that says: "We apologize, but we've discovered an error with our billing records...Your account has been receiving an incorrect monthly discount...your monthly bill may increase by up to $25.00. Please be assured you won't be back billed (!)." I won't be back billed for Verizon deciding to increase my CONTRACT rate after we agreed to it and I've been paying it for 6 months. Anybody else experience this same fraud?
