Quantum Gateway rogue wireless network(s)

Hello,

I'm using a NetGear R6400 as a wireless AP for both my 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless networks. I recently switched from 50/50 to Fios Gigabit, and received a new Quantum Gateway (G1100) to replace my Actiontec router as part of that upgrade.

Problem is, even though I've completely disabled the wireless networks on the G1100, my WiFi scanner is still showing the networks as active. When I log into the Quantum admin page, it shows both wireless frequencies as disabled under 'Basic Wireless" settings, and I've also disabled SSID broadcast for both networks under the Advanced Wireless tab as well. The wireless icon on the front of the Verizon router has also gone dark (it was formerly lit up).

So, even though the G1100 is telling me it's disabled its wireless networks, and the external LED indicator for wireless is off, the networks are still being broadcast, and using up channel bandwidth in my home, causing interference.

Is there a 'hidden' setting to truely disable wireless on the Quantum gateway? This was never an issue on my Actiontec; when wireless was disabled, it turned off, and that was that.
