I recently moved from DE to PA, and I transferred my FIOS service as part of the move. After figuring out the best way to accomplish this, the Verizon rep assured me any install/activation charges would be waived. This was in line with the same deal I had when my account was originally setup in 2014.
Unfortunately upon receiving my bill I noticed two issues:
1) There was no activation fee, but the setup fee was charged.
2) I was also charged $4.99 for "Pick Your Own Area Code." I was informed that since I was moving between states I would be given a new number, which was fine with me. However, when the service was setup my old number was ported over and I didn't think anything of it. At no point was I told there would be a fee for this since I was told I was getting a new number anyway.
How can I go about getting these costs removed?
